Honoree Kris flanked by her parents, daughter, and granddaughter -- four generations of bridge players!

L to R - Dee Payne, Kayme Tidwell, Kris Cherry, Kimberly Tidwell, Joe Payne Kris began her journey only because of her mom's continued encouragement and bribery! She credited Nancy Smalley, her instructor, and Donna McFerrin, her regular partner for several years, for keeping her in the game. She earned gold points partnered with Keith Dobson, Wayne Outlaw, and Martha Oliver. Kris is considered "the fairest of them all" by the Orange Community Bridge League where she plays, teaches, recruits, and hosts. She has served as Unit 201 secretary since 2011. Congratulations, Kris!

The Program

Carolyn Worsham introduced the program. Billie Carter emceed the event. Carol McGill presented Chris with a special "Double with Love" card so Kris wouldn't have to worry about hurting the feelings of opponents!

Wayne Outlaw and Martha Oliver spoke of the many contributions Kris had made to the Orange Community Bridge League. Kris acknowledged all who had helped her on her journey.
