Honoree

Martha Oliver with husband, Glenn
Martha, the consummate Southern Belle, plays in both Orange and Beaumont and is loved by both clubs. Her lovely smile and pleasant demeanor hide an astute and competitive bridge player. Once she set her goal for achieving Life Master status, it didn't take her long to attain it. Martha has served on the U201 Board for a number of years. Congratulations, Martha!
Hosts and Hostesses

Members of the Orange Community Bridge League hosted the party.

Nixie Lynch, Susan Gore, Pat Bell, and June Eddingston decorated the Beaumont Bridge Studio with a festive Cinco de Mayo theme.
The Program

Billie Carter emceed the event. Wayne Outlaw and Black Bart (John Kacher) humorously told what it was like to play with Martha as a partner.

Carol McGill offered a toast to Martha; Pat Bell, John Kacher, and Susan Gore "symbolized" her journey; and Martha graciously accepted the praise of her partners and thanked all for supporting her in her quest.
